10 Wrestlers Fans Most Want To See In WWE's UK Tournament

1. Will Ospreay

If 2015 was the year Will Ospreay shot to prominence, 2016 was the year his star went through the roof. A genuine Wrestler of the Year candidate, The Aerial Assassin is an athletic marvel, and one of the most exciting wrestlers currently walking the Earth. At this stage, Ospreay’s career looks just as promising as Rey Mysterio’s did in the early ‘90s, and the praise is more than justified.

Alright, flips and dives aren’t to everybody’s tastes, but aside from Ricochet, there’s absolutely nobody who can rival Ospreay in this department. He’s capable of pulling-off the kind of gravity-defying stunts that should only be possible in the movies, and it feels like he comes up with something new every time he wrestles.

Ospreay is a constant innovator, and a man at the absolute forefront of modern professional wrestling. His matches with Ricochet, Zack Sabre Jr., and KUSHIDA have made him one of 2016’s biggest stars in America, the UK, and Japan. Ospreay is a global sensation, and it’s only a matter of time before he catches on with the wrestling mainstream.

Anyone who watched this year’s NJPW Best of the Super Juniors knows how Ospreay operates in a tournament setting. The Essex native held nothing back against ferocious competition, overcoming guys like Jushin Liger and Ricochet en route to the finals, where he eventually defeated Ryusuke Taguchi. Ospreay would likely follow a similar path if involved in January, and he’d be a huge favourite to win it all.
