10 Wrestlers Most Hated By Their Peers

10. Muhammad Hassan

Ah, Muhammad Hassan, truly one of the biggest 'what ifs' in WWE history. Hassan debuted on Raw in late 2004 and quickly shot to the top working programmes with Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. MarK Copani, the man behind the Hassan character, was only twenty four years old when he was thrust into the spotlight. He was green and apparently not well-schooled on backstage etiquette. This did not set well with the veterans backstage, many of whom had been working for years and never received half the opportunity that the rookie had. Soon, the heat that Hassan was getting in the arenas was transferred backstage and Hassan was on the end of many real-life beatings in the ring. Simon Dean recently told a story in a shoot interview about the veterans ganging up on Hassan during a battle royal in Hawaii in 2005 and legitimately hitting him as hard as they could before throwing him out of the ring. Hassan's backstage transgressions include telling WWE legend Sgt. Slaughter that he was going squash him after an agent informed him that he needed to look strong in their match. You just don't do that to a veteran like Sarge. Another Hassan faux pas was telling Eddie Guerrero to stop using the camel clutch because it was his finisher. Eddie promptly told Hassan that his father Gory Guerrero had invented the move and promptly flew off the handle. To full illustrate the Hassan hate, check out the video of Shane 'Hurricane' Helms discussing a time that Hassan bought the entire Smackdown roster expensive shots in Tokyo, only for the them to pour the shots on the floor and stare Hassan out. It's probably just as well that Hassan was axed from TV in mid-2005. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjxCGadhIcI
