10 Wrestlers John Cena Would Not Put Over

6. Alex Riley

In addition to casting Riley as a massively ineffective goon at Over The Limit '11, Cena, with little in the way of provocation, cast him as a no-hoper backstage. Riley has refused to make explicit one particular major "incident", but more or less confirmed the implications lurking online in a Ross Report podcast appearance. Tyler Reks - himself no stranger to Cena's politicking, but really, he was as daft to use a similar finisher to Cena as he was a disgrace to the Burning Hammer - was altogether more forthcoming.

"Cena thought Riley did something wrong every single day," Reks said in a Reddit AMA. Reks also disclosed that Cena would hunt through Riley's bag before "b*tching him out" for using supplements, which, Jesus Christ. The idea of John Cena having never taken a supplement is as preposterous as his submission finisher. Reks also recounted a story in which Cena had effectively laid out a six-man tag match involving Riley, whose role he micromanaged. Riley, per Reks, followed those instructions to the letter. Cena was still not happy. He referred to Riley as "numbnuts" when he reprimanded him backstage. Riley withheld details of a further, major incident, claiming that he was wary of destroying his career.

Just what has Cena been up to...or up in?
