10 Wrestlers John Cena Would Not Put Over

On the February 8, 2010 RAW, Ted DiBiase stood in John Cena's way. Cena was in a foul mood; as Jerry Lawler put it, Batista tried to "end Cena's career" during the previous week's brutal attack. In response, Cena killed off DiBiase's career, which isn't really how retribution works. But never mind.

Cena rushed to the ring and flattened DiBiase with a lariat before unleashing a volley of fists all over his face and sending him hurtling from the ring. Cena, grimacing, flew DiBiase into the barricade. He started snarling and shaking at this point. DiBiase meanwhile sold less like an enhancement talent and more like a corpse. He foamed at the mouth as Cena refused to release the grip of the STF. "The match hadn't even started," said Lawler, in his best Owen Hart voice. Ted DiBiase was not a local geek off the street; he was a month and a half away from a match with former multi-time World Champion Randy Orton at the biggest show of the year. Usually, factions are disbanded as a means of creating a future star. This burial rendered that exercise somewhat difficult.

"I didn't come here tonight to have a match," Cena said in the aftermath. He wasn't wrong.
