Theory may have a guaranteed Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match by way of the Money in the Bank contract, but he still is not at the top of this list. That honor belongs to Cody Rhodes, who returned to WWE with seemingly one purpose, to win the WWE Championship.

After triumphantly returning to WWE after founding All Elite Wrestling, The Grandson of a Plumber took his first promo on Monday Night Raw to make his intentions clear. Cody had only one mission, and that was to bring the top prize in professional wrestling to the Rhodes family for the first time. Cody seemed to be going full speed ahead with his goal, scoring back to back wins over Seth Rollins at WrestleMania and WrestleMania Backlash.

While Cody's momentum might have been derailed following tearing his pectoral muscle, that does not seem to be hindering The American Nightmare's plans. Despite being on the shelf, when Cody Rhodes does return, it seems inevitable that he will soon be chasing the WWE Championship, attempting to fulfil the legacy of the Rhodes family name.
