Like the women of NXT, tag teams have always been a big draw at Full Sail University, with many of the main roster's current programs comprised of talents that came from the WWE Performance Center. Enzo & Cass, American Alpha, The Revival, to name a few, have made major impacts on their respective programs since debuting on the main roster - but it's left a big void needing to be filled down in NXT.

Enter the Authors Of Pain.

Led by former Legion Of Doom manager Paul Ellering, the team of Akam and Rezar arrived on the scene by attacking American Alpha during NXT Takeover: The End. It was quite an impressive way to debut the massive duo, and with the legendary Ellering by their side, the Authors Of Pain became the newest force in NXT's tag team division.

NXT bookers followed up AOP's dominant debut by having them win the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic then the NXT Tag Team titles at NXT Takeover: San Antonio. With an already impressive 2017 under their belts, Akam and Rezar are primed to become the newest stars of NXT's tag team scene.
