10 Wrestlers Who Absolutely Love Annoying Fans
3. MJF
Maxwell Jacob Friedman has made a habit of infuriating audiences since his debut in 2015. Portraying the world’s most egotistical man, Friedman has eviscerated fans and wrestlers alike with mean-spirited, often juvenile insults both on screen and on social media.
Earning praise from many for the quality of his douchebaggery, Friedman even caused a smirk from Bret Hart after a jab about his Hall of Fame fan attack incident. In recent times, he has been positioned as the nemesis of Cody Rhodes, frequently lampooning the son of a son of a plumber (though in the wake of that neck tattoo he’s hardly alone on this one).
Recently, MJF has been providing increasingly ridiculous updates on his multiplying injuries. An old school, cowardly heel move, MJF’s tall tales have complemented his insufferable persona perfectly. While many find his antics amusing, MJF’s crowd heat continues to grow thanks to his insistence on maintaining kayfabe outside of the ring. Many fans and interviewers have been taken aback by his less than endearing approach to dealing with them. At just 24, MJF’s best work is presumably ahead of him so expect to see many more triggered audience members before he hangs it up.
