10 Wrestlers Who Actually WON On The Way Out

3. Chyna

Chyna played a huge part in both the Attitude Era and the wider history of women's professional wrestling. Despite this, she only wrestled 39 televised singles matches in her entire WWE career. Only seven of those were singles matches against other women. Has there ever been a more influential wrestler with such a small body of work?

Chyna's forays into the women's division were confined to the last six months of her WWE run, and needless to say, she was completely dominant. The Ninth Wonder of the World easily swatted aside Ivory to pick up the WWF Women's Championship before going on to pick up easy wins against Molly Holly, Trish Stratus and the former champion. Her toughest test came in her final WWE match, where she overcame the challenge of Lita at Judgement Day 2001.

Despite winning that match, Chyna soon vacated the championship and was out of the company. A brief tenure in NJPW followed (including a failed challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Championships alongside The Great Kabuki, what a time) before Chyna moved into other entertainment endeavours in the cinematic universe.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
