10 Wrestlers Who Are DYING For Something New

To paraphrase a line from Encanto's most famous song, "We don't talk about Jericho, no, no, no / We don't talk about Jericho".

After a wealth of articles discussing Jericho's increasingly toxic relationship with the AEW fanbase, things have been relatively quiet on the Jericho front in recent weeks. Not because he's performed a miraculous 180° or turned back the clock 20 - or even 10 - years to when he was one of the best wrestlers on the planet. No, it feels like everyone has just grown to accept that Jericho will always be a part of AEW programming and the best thing to do is ignore it like that mole on your back you keep meaning to check out.

Unfortunately, ignoring problems doesn't make them go away. That mole on your back could be a serious health issue, and AEW letting Jericho eat up valuable TV time is clearly doing the company more harm than good. Fans have spent the entirety of 2024 loudly exhorting their desire for the former Y2J to take an extended - possibly permanent - leave of absence, and AEW's tanking viewership is a sign that Jericho's incessant appearances aren't doing a damn thing to help Tony Kahn's beleagured promotion.

To borrow one more song lyric, this time from Eminem's clap-back against Moby: "You're too old, it's over, let go / Nobody cares about Jericho!"
