10 Wrestlers Who Are In The Wrong Role

2. Bayley As The Relentless Heel Leader

Following in the footsteps of the likes of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch before her, Bayley's recent comeback to the WWE landscape at this year's SummerSlam quickly saw the crowd-favourite returning star awkwardly shoved into the role of diabolical heel leader for the sake of giving Bianca Belair a sparring partner for a few months.

Now that's not to say that Bayley isn't fully capable of playing a part on the Dark Side, with The Role Model putting in some of her finest work to date whilst battling as a baddy against old nemesis Sasha Banks throughout 2020.

Yet, after her shameful treatment at WrestleMania 37 and subsequent spell on the sidelines from July 2021 onwards, fans were very much ready to back a returning Bayley as she looked to reestablish herself as one of the company's leading ladies.

Instead, Bayley's obsession with taking "CTRL" of the women's division alongside Dakota Kai and IYO SKY has seen the star repeatedly spurt out hollow threats and instantly forgettable putdowns of the various faces occupying the roster and rarely marking herself out as a credible threat to Belair's reign in the process.

In all honesty, Damage CTRL in general would likely benefit from a post-WarGames break-up. But Bayley in particular is in desperate need of a change in direction; be that towards being a more opportunistic and selfish solo heel or simply going back to babyface basics with the one-time Hugger.
