10 Wrestlers Who Could Be In Edge's New WWE Stable

The New Brood?

Among the many exciting moments in this year’s WrestleMania weekend was the debut of Edge’s new unholy alliance with Damian Priest. The Rated R Superstar has reinvented himself with a visual palette similar to his initial days with The Brood, and the word on the streets is that he’s to helm a brand new faction.

This feels like a sterling idea on the part of WWE - Edge has plenty left in the tank but shouldn’t be wrestling on a weekly basis, he can convey a sports entertainment story like few other active stars, and has decades of wisdom to pass on to anyone who might join forces with him.

Damian Priest is a good start, but the possibility for more stars to enter his dark orbit is grounds for excitement and speculation. WWE’s roster is plenty strong at the moment, but many performers feel somewhat adrift right now. Being part of a faction headed by a Hall of Famer could be a tremendous rub.

From those rumoured, to outside shouts and superstars in need of some direction, any one of these performers could turn this new Brood into WWE’s hottest act.

10. Tommaso Ciampa

After seven years’ invaluable service on NXT, it appears Ciampa will be doing what he once said he never would: coming up to the main roster. With luck, the two-time NXT champ has enough status and fame to retain his name and not debut on Raw as “Bruiser” or just “Ciampa” or anything daft like that.

A large chunk of the WWE audience will certainly recognise the Psycho Killer, but it’s likely plenty of them won’t; immediately siding him with one of the biggest names in the company would be a great way to maximise his impact.

Ciampa has a look that would fit right in to the group - he’s grizzled, bearded, and incredibly intense - and he can straddle the face/heel dynamic as well as anyone in the company. The group so far has bad guy vibes, but it seems unlikely Edge will ever be properly booed by a WWE crowd in 2022, so that could be a useful tool.

What’s more, Ciampa's work is spectacular, solo or as part of a team. Set him up with Priest and you’re guaranteed some great matches.
