1. Drew McIntyre

Proud Scotsman Drew McIntyre promised, on his farewell WCPW appearance, that his second run with WWE would see him crowned the UK's first ever WWE Champion, and - after picking up the NXT Title last month - we're starting to believe him.

The company's higher-ups have long fancied the 32-year-old as a potential main event star, after all - even going so far as to anoint him Vince McMahon's "chosen one" during his seven-year stint with the company which ended in 2014.

This time round, McIntytre looks an altogether more assured prospect, having gained the experience of being a leading man in TNA, where he briefly held the company's biggest prize and headlined Slammiversary alongside Bobby Lashley.

Given the near-spotless record of past NXT Champions on the main roster, this one looks like a fairly safe bet.
