10 Wrestlers Who Could Retire John Cena In 2022
1. WALTER
WALTER is reportedly not interested in joining the main roster permanently. He’s not the flashiest of workers, nor an especially well known name among more casual fans. He’s probably not going to be the guy to vanquish John Cena.
It would be so sublime if he was, though. Like no one else, WALTER has that Lesnar aura, the feeling of a true trained killer, merciless and hell bent on destruction. His 2020 bout with Ilja Dragunov was match of the year; their 2021 rematch probably was too. He can work magic with any opponent.
Like Cena, his game is a relatively simple one, based less on technical skill than storytelling, timing, and match structure. Both men have incredibly sharp minds for the business, and the angle doesn’t need to be anything too complicated. This is John Cena’s last stand, taking on the number one killer in the game, finally finding an opponent he can’t overcome.
WALTER may not wish to make the jump to WWE proper, and his reasons are totally understandable, but there are some superstars he simply must lock horns with. He’s said he dreams of fighting Brock Lesnar - were he to first best John Cena, that would be a money match and no mistake.
