Hulk Hogan was the prototype for performers who are far from in-ring technicians but have a personality made for professional wrestling. Hogan was a role model amped up, representing American ideals with a flamboyant yellow and red colour scheme. His every word shouted with passion and accompanied by exaggerated gestures. Hogan was WWE’s and America’s poster boy, powered by prayers and vitamins.

However, Hogan’s most iconic promo was delivered on WCW as a heel. Hogan joining the nWo remains one of professional wrestling’s most shocking moments. It is often credited as the inciting incident that spawned the Monday Night Wars. Hogan’s personality was at the forefront of wrestling’s most iconic moments, as he excelled as a heel too.

Though Hogan’s heel run represented a second coming of “The Hulkster” he had to contend with the bizarre booking decisions of WCW, such as having to endure a feud with the laughable Alliance To End Hulkamania, and competing against The Giant in an infamous Monster Truck Sumo Match at Halloween Havoc 1995. However, Hogan always brought entertainment and charisma to his string of chaotic feuds.
