10 Wrestlers Who Eventually Rewarded Fans For Sticking With Them

From a dancing fool, to Becky 2 Belts.

Undoubtedly, Becky Lynch's early days in NXT were ridiculously cringeworthy. Pulling on her heritage, WWE had Lynch Irish dance to the ring. For those who haven't seen it - or those who have purposely forgotten it - it was as bad as it sounds.

While the Lasskicker would overcome that horrendous case of classic WWE stereotyping, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for Lynch after dropping the dancing shtick. Her run in NXT would end up with the fans embracing her, even if Becky didn't manage to pick up the NXT Women's Championship before leaving the black and gold brand.

Upon arriving on the main roster, again the fans were with Lynch - but again she was often an afterthought as WWE focussed more TV time and focus on Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. Regardless of how much the fans clearly appreciated the talents of Becky Lynch, it felt as if WWE just wasn't interested in giving her a fair crack of the whip.

That all changed at the 2018 edition of the SummerSlam PPV, although that wasn't by design. WWE had Becky turned heel with a post-match attack on Charlotte at SummerSlam, yet the fans jumped on that and started to turn their appreciation of The Man-in-waiting up to 11.

Eventually giving in to the fan reaction, WWE gave Lynch the ball to run with - and Becky embarked on one of the most legendary runs of the modern era.
