10 Wrestlers Who Eventually Rewarded Fans For Sticking With Them

2. Bray Wyatt

Remember when Bray Wyatt seemed to lose every single major match of note? The head of the Wyatt Family would hone in on a new target, spend weeks verbally tormenting that opponent and promising untold horrors, only to then lose...and lose...and lose.

What was notable throughout all of this, though, was in how so many fans refused to budge on their appreciation of Bray. Clearly, this was a wrestler who was so talented on so many fronts, and the fans saw this and continued to back Wyatt - even though it was inevitable that he'd eventually choke when the next big bout came along.

By the time Bray finally captured the WWE Championship at the 2017 Elimination Chamber PPV, the momentum and buzz around the star had long began to wane. Very much too little, too late, it was sad to see how Wyatt's big moment fell flat - and the general 'meh' around the character was only hammered home by Bray losing his title less than two months later.

Of course, the Bray Wyatt die-hards were rewarded in spades last year as the Eater of Worlds returned to TV with an entirely new approach. Switching between the nefarious, unrelenting Fiend and the insta-smiling Firefly Funhouse founder, those fans finally got to see Wyatt become the dominant force that they'd long hoped for.

Well, unless Bray was facing Bill Goldberg, that is.
