10 Wrestlers Who Found God

8. Goldust

The tale of Goldust (Dustin Runnels) is pretty well known among people that follow the wrestling business closely. He became known first in WWE and WCW in the early 1990s as the son of Dusty Rhodes. They called him "The Natural" because he made everything look easy in the ring. It's 25 years later, he's in his mid-40s and he still makes it look easy today. In 1998, WWE actually had him stop doing the successful Goldust gimmick and booked him as a Born Again Christian. The gimmick went nowhere while Dustin still had demons he was dealing with. Dustin got fired and re-hired by WWE five times in his career due to his drug and alcohol issues. After several stints in rehab, he was able to clean up his life. He got married again, dedicated himself to getting in awesome shape and returned to WWE a few years ago. He will most likely retire from WWE possibly this year and then take a job either working as a road agent or as a trainer at the Performance Center in Orlando. He's one of the most talented guys that WWE has ever employed, so it's great to see his life on the right track again.
