Jesse Ventura's endeavors outside the squared circle are well known to wrestling fans, but they bear repeating. Since being one of the most colourful personalities inside and outside of the ring in the 80s, he has moved on to acting (Predator, The X-Files), then politics - where he successfully ran for Governor in Minnesota, a position he held from 1999 to 2003 after running on a platform that morphed his image from "The Body" to "The Mind" (and featured Ventura posing a la Rodin's Thinker).

Following his run as governor (he declined to run for a second term citing the media's invasion of his family's privacy), he moved on to television, hosting Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, which ran for three seasons. He has released several books throughout his career, including Don't Start The Revolution Without Me and American Conspiracies, had a podcast, We The People, on Podcast One, and currently hosts Off The Grid for Ora TV.

Not bad for "The Body" - not bad at all.
