10 Wrestlers Who Had More Gold Than They Knew What To Do With

1. Último Dragón

What? Were you expecting someone else? For a brief period in the late 1990s, Último Dragón was more belt than man, setting the record for most consecutive title reigns by having to lug around ten different championship belts at the same time. Ten of them! To put that into perspective, even if you were to win every single championship on both Raw and SmackDown, (including doing a Harvey Wippleman and grabbing the Women's championships), you would still be one belt short of matching Último Dragón.

Twenty years ago, Último Dragón was the reigning NWA World Middleweight Champion when on 11October 1996, he won the famous J-Crown, a unification of eight lightweight titles from various international promotions. He soon followed this up by winning the WCW Cruiserweight Championship on 29 December.

Seeing Último covered in all those different belts is an impressive sight and it might be safe to say that he didn't need to go to the gym to work out during that time period. He probably couldn't walk very quickly during this time either, and his shoulders were likely pretty relieved when he eventually lost the eight J-Crown belts to Jushin Liger on 4 January 1997.

Ten years ago, Chris was sent to prison by a military court for a crime he didn't commit. He promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the East Midlands underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survives as a WhatCulture writer. If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find him... maybe you can hire...
