10 Wrestlers Who Hated Working For WCW
5. Scott Steiner
On any given Nitro or Thunder, things appeared to be absolutely fantastic for Scott Steiner despite how troubled the rest of WCW appeared at the time. The 'Big Poppa Pump' character fit the chaos of the crumbling company around him, but both man and machine almost ate each other during an infamous edition of the company's flagship show.
Ripping into various power players with a joyous verbal ferocity, he goes further than simply slating his colleagues. Trying - theoretically - to appear too cool for his own school, he as good as encourages viewers that had still chosen to watch Nitro to flip over to Raw and watch Stone Cold Steve Austin instead. Ric Flair was the primary target of his broadside, and with it the most powerful figures within WCW.
It was hugely destructive, but Steiner didn't seem to care. It's likely he didn't either when the punishment came through - he was sent home with pay.
