10 Wrestlers Who Have Changed The Most Since AEW Launched

7. The Young Bucks

Matt and Nick Jackson, regardless of their face/heel alignment, are the most controversial tag team in professional wrestling today. Their style and technique often provokes extreme division; some love their high energy, innovative offence, while others believe it stretches kayfabe and takes away from the storytelling aspects of professional wrestling. Your writer is admittedly the former.

The Young Bucks began their AEW career as smiling babyfaces. Though this archetype of pro wrestler is often the object of scorn, Matt and Nick's in-ring ability, uniqueness, and genuine love for the business kept them firmly in fans' affections (discounting those who wish to purge the wrestling landscape of "flippy s**t").

The brothers' corruption via The Super Elite has been masterful to watch. Since they turned heel, attacking Jon Moxley to side with their old friend Kenny Omega, Matt and Nick have been hamming up their heel work with sly digs, flamboyant costumes, and embracing fans' accusations that they have sold out.

In turning, The Young Bucks have lost none of the in-ring work that made them must-see athletes. They have added a nuance to their character work, making them more compelling than ever.
