10 Wrestlers Who Left Promotions With Nuclear Heat
3. Enzo Amore
Enzo Amore fell afoul of the entire WWE locker room, inviting “a series of questionable guests” backstage, who in turn photographed and filmed other talent.
He drew further heat following a public social media spat with a stripper, which many felt reflected poorly on the company and its athletes. Roman Reigns, on behalf of the roster, threw Enzo off the European tour bus, and he was exiled from the locker room, forced to change elsewhere.
Enzo in turn took zero responsibility for his WWE exit, telling Konnan on Keepin’ It 100:-
“Honestly, I think that what creates heat is jealousy. I think hate is nothing but love disguised as jealousy. It’s either a relatable quality that you see in that person, or it’s that insecurity that you have within yourself that you feel is necessary to either lash out or talk sh*t.”
He also discussed issues with Triple H:-
"A writer tries to write a line I don’t like in a promo, I ain’t saying it, and I’m going to go talk to Vince because I’m not saying it and Hunter’s gonna threaten my job […] Triple H is gonna tell me I’m gonna get fired because I ain’t saying this sh*t […] You guys have threatened me ever since I got in the door here. You have been hanging it over my head that you will fire me […] In the end, I was f***ing looking at him in the face saying, ‘You’re f***ing lucky to have me here.’ I didn’t walk on any eggshells at the end at all. I dressed in my own locker room. When people got mad at me, I didn’t care […]
Ultimately, he was released for failing to disclose grim sexual assault allegations made against him to WWE, who quickly jettisoned Amore.
