4. Scott Hall Gets "Favoured Nations"

Ask Eric Bischoff about "favoured nations" and he'll scoff before rubbishing the entire concept as an internet rumour perpetuated by those who don't know what they're talking about or weren't there. The problem for Bisch is that Scott Hall was there, and he was quickly followed through the door by Kevin Nash.

Both of those men claim they had an amazing deal with WCW.

"Favoured nations" basically meant that Hall and Nash had to be the highest paid in the company (with the possible exception of Hulk Hogan). If somebody signed for more, then their guaranteed contracts would be bumped up to match that figure. That was unheard of in pro wrestling until Scott Hall secured it.

Nash himself has admitted that he couldn't believe this when he first heard it. WCW were pretty much encouraging the pair to do negotiations on behalf of other talents so they'd get more, and that's what ended up happening. Goldberg, Bret Hart and others all pushed the duo's individual numbers up.
