In 2015, New Japan Pro Wrestling had what was undoubtedly the greatest roster in the sport. Headlining for the promotion were the "big four" - Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura, and AJ Styles - but there was also a deep talent pool just below those four men, and one of its most reliable members was Karl Anderson.

Largely a tag team star, Anderson had worked more tours for New Japan than just about any westerner in history. As the mouthpiece of Bullet Club, he had a high profile in the organization, and his hard work translated into shots at singles titles, as well. All in all, he was considered a major asset to the company.

In early 2016, Anderson and tag team partner Luke Gallows left New Japan for WWE, and since then, things haven't been so rosy for him. After an association with AJ Styles ended due to the brand split, "The Club" has floundered. They challenged The New Day for the Raw Tag Team Titles, but failed to win them and tumbled down the card.

Had Karl Anderson stayed in New Japan, he could have easily been competing for the promotion's Intercontinental Title, but instead, he's cutting promos with fake testicles as props.
