10 Wrestlers Who Remained Great Past 45

7. Dustin Rhodes

Chris Jericho
Lee South/AEW

A man of many faces, Dustin Rhodes dropped the Goldust persona and jumped ship to his brother Cody’s budding AEW promotion last year. On episode 13 of Road to Double or Nothing, Rhodes cut an incendiary promo on his brother and the state of wrestling today before confirming he would face his brother at the event.

Doing the feud and match the two dreamed do of doing in WWE, Rhodes bled buckets in an epic familial clash. Ultimately defeated by the younger Cody, the two agreed to start teaming up again afterwards much to the crowds’ elation.

Dustin Rhodes’ hard fought battles in AEW have proven he has a whole lot left in the tank. Blending the various styles and personas of his career into one, Rhodes is a colourful veteran with an old school, Southern rasslin’ approach to the ring.

Working as a coach and producer atop his bell to bell duties, the 50 year old is an integral part of the United States’ hottest promotion. The son of a son of a plumber is as good as he’s ever been with no signs of slowing down.
