10 Wrestlers Who Suffered The Most From WWE WrestleMania 37

5. Asuka

More a casualty of the past six months of booking rather than just WrestleMania 37 itself, Asuka is in need of a significant rebuild coming out of the Showcase of the Immortals.

WWE has dismantled the Raw women's division around the former champion. Her title was sidelined when she was thrust in a Women's Tag Team Championship feud with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, throughout which she was presented primarily as Charlotte Flair's underling. A brief dalliance with Alexa Bliss' infantile bullsh*t was as damaging to her credibility as anyone else who comes into direct contact with Bray Wyatt's hacky universe. Returning following a mouth injury and concussion, Asuka was then rushed through a copy/paste 'Mania build opposite Rhea Ripley, with WWE directly ripping the ineffective "can they coexist?!" tag team storyline from Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks on the other channel.

Then, finally, Asuka surrendered the Raw Women's Title at 'Mania. A fine match, but one that suffered from a lack of crowd investment due to the lacklustre build.

Though Asuka was champion for the best part of a year, she has significant ground to regain. Rarely has a Raw Women's Champion felt so undermined and unimportant.
