10 Wrestlers Who VANISHED When WCW Died

2. Lex Luger

When nobody noticed his contract expired, Lex Luger snuck out the back door of WWE, allowing the former narcissist to show up on the first episode of Nitro and cement himself as one of the top names of WCW. Perhaps worried about how he’d be treated by the WWE once they bought the remnants of WCW, Luger didn’t accept their offer to return and instead moved on to TNA.

By 2003, Luger had lost himself to his vices and in April of that year, he was involved in a domestic abuse incident with his girlfriend (Miss) Elizabeth Hulette, where she was found covered in bruises and cuts.

Within two weeks, Hulette would be found dead in their shared home after an overdose, which was later ruled accidental. Luger was arrested after a subsequent search of the property turned up so much evidence that he was charged with 13 counts of felony drug possession. Controversies continued to plague him until a spinal stroke in 2007 left him in a temporary quadriplegic state.

In 2011, Lex began working with WWE on their Wellness Policy to prevent “this generation of guys from going down the same path as we did.”

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
