10 Wrestlers Who Were Great By 25

9. Will Ospreay

Brock Lesnar WWE Champion
Arthur / Beyond Gorilla

The prodigious Will Ospreay wowed crowds throughout the UK with his astonishing athletic feats and high octane feuds against Marty Scurll and Jimmy Havoc. Ospreay’s ferocious Progress World Championship victory over Havoc foreshadowed both the best and the worst of Ospreay’s dangerous style. With kick outs galore, Ospreay even survives a Burning Hammer onto a set up steel chair before finally getting the win.

He soon caught the eye of Kazuchika Okada who encouraged him to join New Japan. Debuting in 2016, Ospreay won the Best of the Super Juniors tournament at just 23 years old, the youngest winner in tournament history. During the tournament, he and Ricochet wowed the crowds with their athletic feats. Their acrobatic match polarised the wrestling world with some praising the action and others panning a lack of selling and psychology.

Ospreay fast became a focal point of New Japan’s junior division whilst maintaining his popularity on the UK circuit, even engaging in a controversial feud and match with the late, great Vader.

Since then, Ospreay has begun a steady climb to the heavyweight division, consistently improving every aspect of his craft each year.
