If WWE ever have a Greatest Employee Ever award at the Slammys, expect the Dead Man to win it by a landslide. Joining Vince McMahon’s merry band of bodyslammers in 1990, 'Taker boasts the longest tenure in company history. Multiple character and style reinventions have maintained Big Evil’s relevance and connection with audiences strong throughout the decades.

Behind the scenes, stories abound of him serving as the bridge between management and the locker room. He was also the main judge of the infamous wrestlers’ court, a locker room solution to solve backstage problems (but also a reason for 'Taker and his buddies to receive boozy gifts from misbehaving peers).

His WrestleMania undefeated streak became a major draw for the show of shows until its untimely demise in 2014. In its final years, it proved more epic in scope than anything else WWE had going on, often rivalling the World title matches for main event status.

Along with multiple World title runs to his name, 'Taker has become one of WWE’s most recognisable and long term main event stars. Having not worked anywhere else since the '80s, 'Taker will likely round off his career soon (perhaps this Survivor Series to mark 30 years since his debut) and finally get that well-earned Hall of Fame induction.

Working anywhere else at this point would simply be unthinkable.
