10 Wrestlers Whose WWE Legacies Have Been Revised
4. Bobby Lashley
There weren't too many tears shed by fans when Bobby Lashley was released from his WWE contract in early-2008. That's partly a consequence of the fact he had been sidelined with injury for the preceding six months, but it was also a sign that he hadn't managed fully to win over the fans in the three years he spent with the company, having initially been billed as a Brock Lesnar or Batista-like figure.
A decade later, many fans are clamouring for his return. This is mainly so we can see him and Lesnar - two legitimate MMA fighters whose paths never crossed inside the Octacgon - go at it in a wrestling bout instead. Lashley's stock, despite dropping down to a smaller platform in the shape of Impact wrestling (where he has been one of the leading men ever since), has risen considerably, and the WWE audience is perhaps beginning to wonder what might've been if the company had shown more faith in him (or else simply used him better).
