10 Wrestlers WWE Have Wasted Since WrestleMania 33
9. Bayley
Life turns on a dime, and so do WWE careers. Bayley's was going swimmingly in the first half of the year; she had just captured her maiden main roster title, and even managed to retain it in a four-way match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
But then disaster struck. Alexa Bliss joined her on Monday Night Raw, taking the 28-year-old's belt and a lot of her dignity too. There was just no coming back from the humiliating This is Your Life segment, nor the Extreme Rules kendo stick debacle that followed.
To a lot of observers, this is yet more evidence that Vince McMahon and co have forgotten how to effectively book babyfaces. While the heroes of the Attitude Era were cool and alpha, today's cast of good guys and girls are largely goofy and vanilla.
Luckily for them, Bayley's enduring popularity is such that she has just about managed to survive the last 10 months. But even The Huggable One may struggle to command the support of the crowd if this kind of thing continues.
