Excelling in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows formed quite the tag-team. As part of The Bullet Club, they were a fearsome unit, aligned with the likes of Finn Balor and (later) AJ Styles. That latter union carried over onto WWE television when all were contracted earlier this year.

At first, it looked like WWE may resist putting Gallows and Anderson by AJ's side. It didn't take too long before Styles turned heel though, forming a great three-man dynamic with his real-life friends. In Anderson's own words however, things could have been very different for the collective upon signing with WWE.

Speaking to the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Karl Anderson claimed neither he or his buddies would have had a problem heading to NXT. Gallows and Anderson were put on the main roster immediately, but they would have happily went to the developmental system had management demanded it.

Styles has previously echoed such sentiments, but never revealed there was a chance The Club as a whole would go to NXT.
