Breaking into wrestling back in 2006, Kofi Kingston had been a lifelong fan of the industry. In actual fact, he only joined the Amateur wrestling team at the University of Central Florida in order to further his dreams of someday stepping into the ring. As it turns out, poor Kofi had a different idea of what mat wrestling would be like.

Whilst promoting upcoming WWE events in the Georgia area, Kingston gave an interview to Do Savannah's website. During that chat, he opened up to reveal that he got the wrong end of the stick when it came to Amateur wrestling. Kofi thought it'd be just like WWE's product that he regularly watched on television.

Naturally, it wasn't, and Kofi found himself laughed at by everyone concerned. As they giggled, some even told him he was too small to be a WWE performer, citing his lack of height and weight as major reasons.

Disappointed that the Amateur style didn't mimic what he watched on TV, Kofi eventually managed to achieve his dream of becoming a pro.
