4. Norman Smiley Helped Develop 80% Of Current WWE Roster
In the words of the man himself, Norman Smiley has had a hand in the development of at least 80% of the current, full-time WWE roster. Having been an employee of the company for years, Smiley's main role is to parlay his knowledge to young aspiring wrestlers. He's a popular figure too, as everyone from Paige to William Regal can be heard commending his work. On his podcast, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin has also said that Norman Smiley has a tremendous bank of wisdom. He was never the biggest star in the world, his biggest run in North America coming with WCW in the late-90's. However, it seems an awful lot of people within the WWE system have benefited from his guidance. Listening to the man talk, it's not difficult to see why he's considered a good employee. Smiley understands what WWE want from their young talent. The Englishman has embraced the idea that WWE like to see themselves as different from every other wrestling promotion out there. As a consequence of this, he's been able to successfully guide guys like Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns and others onto the main roster.
