The WWE product moves faster than ever before in 2016, meaning feuds are often over in just a few short months. Long-term planning (or the lack of it) is something Steve Austin has criticised on his podcast recently, the legend also bemoaning the fact that stories aren't often given much room to breathe.

According to Stephanie McMahon, that's something WWE are aware of and want to change. Speaking alongside John Cena at a press event this week, Stephanie claimed that stories would be slowed after the WWE Draft and roster split. Wrestling Inc were the ones to report on the Q&A.

Using the recent return of Seth Rollins as an example, his comeback at Extreme Rules was then rushed into a pay-per-view main event against Roman Reigns less than a full month later at Money In The Bank. Now, he's set to collide with former Shield alumni Reigns and Dean Ambrose at Battleground.

That story could have been played out over a lengthier period of time, had WWE been less concerned with filling the ample television time at their disposal. That was the crux of McMahon's point to the media.
