10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (25 Oct)
3. Hulk Hogan Was Keeping Tabs On The Kliq Pre-nWo
(Why yes, Hogan should definitely have been worried about wearing one of those poorly-photoshopped hats instead. Now, on with the fact at hand.)
On the latest edition of his 83 Weeks show, the recently-fired Eric Bischoff talked in detail about the massive jump Kevin Nash and Scott Hall made from the WWF to WCW in 1996. Asked by co-host Conrad Thompson to recant Hulk Hogan's take on the prospective deals, Bisch admitted that his good buddy was probably rather concerned.
It makes sense looking back; Hulk still had friends working in the WWF, and he knew all-too-well that Nash, Hall and their Kliq gang had been making life misery for some. As the new golden boy in Turner town, he wasn't sure if he fancied putting up with that kind of drama in Dubya-C-Dubya when he was calling the shots.
Things would work themselves out when Bischoff convinced Hulk to turn heel, join the invaders and form the New World Order. Before that was even a creative sperm waiting to be fertilised however, Hogan was pensive.
