6. WWE Manipulated Rey Mysterio Departure

Rey Mysterio Angry Pointing Fresh news breaking this week revolves around the idea that WWE were fully aware Rey Mysterio was intending to leave the company, but instead of breaking off the masked star's contract months before, officials held off, with the idea being that Mysterio would become less valuable to another promotion the longer he was off TV. As far back as 2010, there have been rumours surrounding Rey's relationship with WWE, which hasn't really seemed to be easy-going ever since. Aware that he could make a healthy profit working in his homeland of Mexico, as well as around the world of various groups, Mysterio also knows his career is on borrowed time. Injuries have piled up for the high-flyer, he's nowhere near the same wrestler as he was before. The question is, did WWE manipulate Mysterio's departure from the company? Re-signing with AAA in Mexico, Rey will still be a huge draw in his home country, something WWE would only be too aware of.
