10. Finn Balor Told Triple H He Wanted Time In NXT

A lot of pro wrestling fans were surprised when Fergal 'Prince' Devitt was posted to NXT upon signing a WWE contract. This is simply the way the juggernaut promotion do things, and they elected to rename the world-travelled star 'Finn Balor' in the process. Most people were under the impression that Balor would progress through the ranks quickly, but he has been in NXT for over a year. During a recent conference call, Triple H revealed why Balor hasn't yet been called up to the main roster. Whilst others such as Kevin Owens and Tyler Breeze have been promoted, the NXT Heavyweight Champion continues to work exclusively for the developmental brand. According to 'The Game', that was the Irishman's own choice, and something he wanted as soon as he signed with WWE. Behind the scenes, Balor and Triple H have had many conversations. In the words of Triple H, the former New Japan Pro Wrestling stand out personally asked for time to show what he could do in NXT. It does seem like only a matter of time before Balor is called up, but Triple H's words suggest it would have happened long before now had Balor himself not requested otherwise.
