10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Jan 1)
3. WWE Only Booked 21 Screwy Finishes On Raw In 2015
World Wrestling Entertainment booked 389 matches on Monday Night Raw in 2015. Due to the nature of the program, which is traditionally to help set up matches for larger pay-per-view events, it'd be easy to imagine that there were a lot of interference-laden finishes. Further to that, it'd make sense to imagine that many matches ended in disqualification. In eye-opening news, only 21 matches throughout the entire year on the program ended in such a fashion. This means that out of almost 400 matches, hardly any finished in a 'screwjob' manner. All in all, 368 matches on Monday Night Raw finished entirely clean, which is quite remarkable to think. Other years in WWE history would have to be examined in order to find out if this is some sort of record, but it does seem stunningly low. When quizzed on the subject, most fans would likely guess that over 100 had ended in disqualification, count out or via roll-up due to interference. That doesn't seem to be the case, which suggests that WWE enjoy booking 'clean' finishes much more than some give them credit for.
