If WWE could hurry up and put Thunder on the Network, that'd be great. We're crying out to watch all those Mike Enos matches, damn it. In all seriousness, Thunder was the unwanted stepchild of WCW; Eric Bischoff was horrified when he learned Ted Turner plan to produce more weekly TV.

Bischoff told the Pancakes & Powerslams show how he scrambled to come up with ways to fill the new 2-hour show. His main worry was that Thunder would take away from the success of Monday Nitro and dilute the WCW product terribly. That's why Bisch decided the only way forward was splitting the nWo. Thus, the Wolfpac was born.

The Wolfpac was supposed to pin down Thunder and help introduce fresh talent to WCW fans. Long before WWE would try the same thing with Raw and SmackDown, Eric wanted to create a clear divide between both major shows, meaning fans wouldn't see the same talent on every broadcast.
