4. Raven Regrets Leaving WCW

In August, 1999, Raven returned to his old stomping grounds and reacquainted himself with the ECW fans. This followed a few years making a name for himself in WCW. Looking back on Raven's time in Atlanta is fascinating; operating just below the main event level, he nonetheless managed to get his gimmick over with fans.

Speaking with ESPN for a new interview, Raven admitted he regrets leaving WCW when he did. A few months later, Vince Russo signed on with the promotion and started changing the entire product from top to bottom. Raven feels he could have been in the World Title picture had he held off on jumping back to the land of Extreme so suddenly.

On top of that, Raven also believes he could feasibly have doubled his annual salary under Russo. The writer was a fan of the Raven character and seemed determined to give some new faces a crack at the main event spots.
