The Big Show hasn't made any secret of his intentions to retire from WWE following the end of his contract with the promotion in February, 2018.

Even though Show has whipped himself into the greatest shape he's been in since the mid-1990's, he looks set to play a reduced role at WrestleMania 33; Big Show's match with Shaquille O'Neal - one WWE set the table for at last year's event - has been shelved, leaving the giant as an entrant into the throwaway Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Feasibly, this could be Big Show's last 'Mania appearance as a full-time member of the WWE roster, but that doesn't change Show's opinion regarding his departure.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard, the stalwart veteran said he didn't want a grand farewell from WWE. In fact, Big Show doesn't even want the promotion to mention that he's leaving at all, and he wants to simply slip out the back door without any hint of a celebration.

In humble fashion, the gentle giant also stated that WWE's young roster deserve the spotlight more than he does, and that any elaborate on screen retirement would take away from that time.
