10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 1)
3. Vince McMahon Wants Lana As Top Female Star
It appears that WWE much prefer the idea of Rusev continuing his top line career with the promotion alone - there have been rumours circulating for a good while that Lana and the big Bulgarian will split long before 2015 comes to a close. Wrestling television moves quicker than ever before, and the pair have been together for close to 2 years since uniting on NXT. On the surface, this could be considered a disaster for the 'Ravishing Russian', who has enjoyed a fruitful spell with her real-life lover as a double act in WWE. Thankfully, it seems that Lana has one major fan, the most important decision-maker in the entire industry, Vince McMahon. If recent reports are to be believed, it seems Lana is scheduled to remain a featured part of the product once she becomes a solo act. McMahon feels the woman has the look and presence to be the main female on WWE television, and there's even talk of her keeping the same name, yet being outed as actually being American, not Russian.
