6. Brodus Clay Regrets Never Questioning Anything WWE Handed Him

There was a period of time when it seemed certain WWE would push Brodus Clay as a monster heel. In 2011, he was aligned with Alberto Del Rio on television. Portrayed as the Mexican's bodyguard, Clay was being readied for a big singles run. The result of that push would be a complete shift in direction. Instead of playing heel, Clay was recast as 'The Funkasaurus'. The gimmick was something Vince McMahon felt sure would turn Brodus into a big star. As things progressed, the idea didn't pan out as WWE first hoped, and Clay became a low-level fun-loving babyface instead of a big name. Today, Clay works as 'Tyrus' in TNA, and he regrets not having more to say about the direction of his career in WWE. Eventually, the WWE creative team went pretty cold on the character. There wasn't much focus put on making 'The Funkasaurus' a success, and he was placed in a tag-team with another dead weight gimmick, Lord Tensai. Collectively known as 'Tons Of Funk', the duo didn't really even make a splash in the tag division. For Tyrus, being more vocal would have stopped him from slipping so low down the pecking order.
