10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Oct 9)
5. Bayley Pitched Eva Marie Program To WWE Creative
Eva Marie is in line for a major push in WWE. If online reports are to be believed, that push is currently still the plan, but the company would prefer if Marie has more ring experience under her proverbial belt. On NXT, Eva has a great chance to re-establish herself. Upon her first appearances on the main roster in 2013, she was far from a well-rounded professional wrestler. On the flip side of the coin, Bayley is used to tearing it up each and every time she enters the ring. Fans have really taken to the current NXT Women's Champion, feeling she is extremely accomplished and capable of regularly putting on awesome matches. Due to the fact that negative fan response to Marie is obvious on social media, Bayley pitched a long-term program with the 'Total Divas' star to WWE creative. Bayley's thinking behind the angle was fairly simple. Realising that fans seem to relate to her, Bayley sees that people do the exact opposite with Eva Marie. Therefore, a rivalry would be natural. As a wrestler for the people, Bayley would be fighting against the woman hand-picked by WWE to represent their vision of what a female performer should be. Thus far, the story hasn't been picked up by management.
