10 Wrestling Matches That Carried The Highest Stakes

7. Finding A Father

David Flair’s real-life and on-air girlfriend Miss Hancock became pregnant. Instead of David thinking it was him (perhaps he was still stuck firmly on first base), he became suspicious that the father was none other than future gigolo Buff Bagwell.

After all, Buff assured us on a weekly basis that he was indeed the “Stuff” and that the girls “could not get enough.” Perhaps Hancock was among them. The only way to find out was a wrestling match on a pay-per-view months before the baby was born. Nothing else made any sense.

At Halloween Havoc 2000, the two battled it out in a First Blood Match, and if Flair won, he’d get some of Buff’s precious blood to settle the mystery. Well, Flair gave it his all, but Buff simply had too much stuff for him to handle. Luckily Lex Luger was the only adult in the company, and beat up Buff until he bled so he could obtain some of that blood, so the real father could plan the next big life step with Stacy.

Oh, but nevermind. Stacy faked being pregnant. But if it was true, imagine the child watching this years later and finding out about the revelation of their father.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
