10 Wrestling Matches That Were Controversially CANCELLED

6. Jeff Jarrett Vs Hulk Hogan (NWA:TNA, 2003)

When Jeff Jarrett burst into a NJPW press conference and waffled Hulk Hogan over the head with a guitar, the wrestling world buzzed about the prospect of the two fighting for the first time in three long and industry-altering years.

The last time they'd shared space together, WCW was falling apart at the seams with them at the heart of the demise. Bash At The Beach 2000's pathetic worked shoot angle between the two men and Vince Russo was as representative of the creative collapse as any other blunder that year, but money was left on the table with them to have a worked programme as a result.

It looked as though Jarrett's NWA: TNA would be the place, and as Hogan's blood splattered onto 'Double J's bright white jeans and t-shirt, the upstart group had crafted a money-drawing visual powerful enough to sell Bound For Glory 2003 as their maiden three hour pay-per-view.

It never came to pass. Hogan cited knee and hip issues ruling him out of the match, though multiple people suggested that 'The Hulkster' was using the talks as a bargaining chip to make a return to WWE. They may have been onto something - Hogan wrestled for the market leader in 2005 and 2006 before he finally landed, disastrously, with the group in 2010.
