Why Fans Hated It: People knew what the outcome was going to be before seeing it.

That one sentence encapsulates fan feeling heading into WWE SmackDown's FOX bow on 4 October 2019. There was a sense of overwhelming dread when Michael Cole yelled about Brock Lesnar being Kofi Kingston's planned WWE Title rival for the network switchover.

The match graphic itself seemed ominous, and even Kofi Kingston's typically-happy entrance seemed duller. No wonder - poor Kofi knew he was about to be smashed with an F5 and pinned within seven short seconds. Seven. Bloody. Seconds.

'KofiMania' had been a highlight of the year, but it was obvious that Vince McMahon didn't give a sh*t about that. He only wanted the belt back on Brock, and fans knew that spelled trouble for Kingston when the title defence was announced.
