10 Wrestling Moments Too Real For Wrestlers
6. Jon Moxley And Seth Rollins Aren't Pleased About Heel Turn On Roman's Night - Raw, 2018
The night of October 22, 2018 sits as perhaps one of the most difficult and raw evenings ever to grace WWE programming. It was on this episode of Raw when Roman Reigns revealed to the world that his leukaemia was back and he'd be forced to take a leave of absence as he received treatment.
It wasn't long before close pals Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were on hand to show their support on the ramp, with both men clearly shook up by the very real emotional gut punch.
But as you're no doubt aware of by now, this night also saw the unexpected heel turn of the soon-to-be-departing Ambrose, a move which appeared to shamelessly capitalise on the crowd's guard being well and truly dropped.
Rollins would later confess that both men weren't exactly happy with the call to pull the trigger at this moment, telling Yahoo Sports:
"...I was upset, he was clearly upset and people didn’t want to see it, they wanted to see us be brothers and care about each other.”
Mox would also eventually note his regret over using Reigns' situation in promos, and even told Chris Jericho of a time he felt the boss had gone too far with one particular phrase, putting his foot down before letting the "worst line" out into the universe.
