10 Wrestling Movies That Should Be Made

4. Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy

Wyatt Family - Compound

Few wrestlers have sacrificed as much for the business as Mick Foley, and thus, few are more deserving of the full-on biopic treatment. It helps that Foley also has a highly compelling background that would lend itself very well to a big screen shaggy dog story, full of toil, struggle, and plenty of gory details.

Inspired to wrestle after watching Jimmy Snuka leap from the cage at Madison Square Garden, Foley took a long, hard road to mainstream success. He lost his ear in WCW, and competed in brutal deathmatches around the world, before finally becoming WWE Champion as Mankind in 1998 - capping one of the most unlikely ascensions in wrestling history.

Each of Mick’s death-defying cage falls should be covered, along with his selfless late-career work against the likes of Edge and Randy Orton. The film would benefit from a darker overall tone, particularly when covering the immense physical toll that wrestling has taken on Foley’s body, but it wouldn’t be without its bright spots. His WWE Championship success, writing career, and love for his family should keep things from becoming too depressing, and paint Mick as the ultimate sympathetic protagonist.
